This is the same hat I posted about on WIP Wenesday. It is now finished, this Thursday night. I am scheduling this post for FO Friday. Wouldn't want to miss it. lol If you want the particulars just scroll down a post.
I think I will pick something off my list to work on next. Come hell or high water, I will figure out how to make socks. I think I will give those a shot next and see how it goes. Can they really be that hard to do? So many people make them. I think sometimes, I make things harder than they actually are. I will post an update on Sunday with what I decided to do.
I hope you all have a wonderful and productive weekend. I only have Saturday off as I am working Sunday so there will not be much knitting time. Same a during the week. :(

I have bought yarn to make socks, but still haven't built up the nerve. I agree so many people do them, why can't I? Good luck, will look for them on Wednesday.
Great looking hat!! Do the socks - they are not hard once you get the swing of it and they are so addictive too!! You can do it and we want to see them too! ;-D

As for socks, they are simple. You just have to mindlessly follow the pattern the first time through. The heel may look intimidating but it's really just a few steps put together. Taking each one as they come is all you have to do. Good luck! I look forward to seeing your socks.
Great job! I love to knit hats, I use them when I need a quick fix in between long, boring items.
Sock are not hard; but the first couple of times through the instructions for the heel (and the toe) can be confusing.
Pick an easy pattern, and if you get stuck, ask on Ravelry!

I know what you mean about the socks. I think I'll have to try one day as I keep seeing such beautiful hand-knit socks, and I have such cold feet. I don't even know enough to tell whether a sock pattern looks easy or not. One day though...
I've made plenty of hats, but only one sock. Yes, ONE. LOL I don't even have a pair. That is crocheted, not knitted though. I wish you luck! You are brave. I often think the same as you - so many people do it so I should too. That and booties/mittens. I just can't get into them. I am pathetic. LOL
