Happy Birthday Rachel

Happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday dear Rachel,
happy birthday to you!
I hope you have the most wonderful day.
Here's an update on the job. I START MONDAY! lol CPC called me yeasterday and we discussed her offer and everything was fine. Starting wage, benefits, everything. I have to go for a drug test today over at the medical building at 8am. I wish they had another way of doing the test. It is so hard for me to do this one. Some people are just not made to pee on conmand. lol
They wavered the background check, because they already did one. (must not have found anything lol). There was something else I just don't remember what now. My benefits start Dec. 1st so I am not waiting 3 months.
I am not working my other job this weekend. I usually give a 2 week notice but, things happened so fast. It's not like I'm going back either. Doug, is also so happy I am not going back. Of course he says he is happier than I am but, it's not true. I am happier.
Anyway, I am going to make Rachel's favorite lunch today. Chicken Carbonara. I have a recipe for it somewhere. Really easy to make.
I did not buy candy for trick or treaters again this year. I have not done that since moving here. We got all kinds of kids up in CT but, the first year we were here, I was by myself and was not about to open the door to strangers. Rachel was working at Pathmark that year and was working late and Doug was working. Last year I was just not into it. I was not this year either. I told Doug that if we gave each kid that came to the door $1.00, we would probably come out cheaper. Christmas has always been our big holiday because it starts after Thanksgiving.
I am trying to make 8" squares for the wildfire project. I finished one and it came out to be 9". lol I am trying the Circle of Friends square. I guess it got late because I lost my place and it's not working out. Will try again a little later. It's a neat square and thought it fitting to do. There are plenty of other squares to do also. Will keep trying until I find one I can do.
Until next time...
