I saw where Ghost was making squares from the 99 Granny Squares to Crochet leaflet. I knew I had the book but, do you think I could find it? Well...I finally did and made a couple of squares from it.
I used Red Heart Super Saver in Frosty Green for both squares.
The square on the left is # 62 from the leaflet. Turns out to be a Granny Square. I had to add a SC row to make this turn out to be 8".
The square on the right is # 67 from the leaflet. I had to add another DC row to make the 8" they are looking for.
I'm not sure why they picked *" squares to do. 7" or 9" seems to be more popular. I guess any square can be adapted.
I will look through the leaflet and see if there are more squares in there that are easy enough to adapt to 8". I'm sure I could find SOME out of the 99 patterns. lol A lot of them are not square but a lot of them are.
According to the weather it is suppose to be quite windy today. It will be a good day to get Steve to cut the grass. Also, to clean up some of the leaves out in front. Kristy and I started cleaning inside yesterday but, my package from CPC came yesterday and I ended up signing all of the papers that needed to be signed, so I can bring them with me on Monday morning. Kristy asked me if she could shampoo the carpets and I told her I wanted to use the Stanley Steemer gift certificate I got. All I have to do is to pick up the phone and make an appointment. A major ordeal! I should have had her do it and pretend she was me. UGH! Phoneaphobia! to the max! Not sure what it is about making calls but, I absolutely hate it. I do have to call soon or the gift certificate will expire, and i really don't want that to happen.

Love the squares. Great work. I went and looked and sure enough there they were, right where you said they would be. LOL! I hate to make calls too. What is up with that? I also hate for the phone to ring. I wish I could get away without one. But we need it for emergency use. Sigh. sound like you are ready for Monday.
Amen to that. I hate the phone. But sometimes it is necessary. Every now and then we consider going to cell phones only, but haven't made the leap yet. We would need to add minutes because Todd uses it for work as well. But I don't get on the phone myself unless I absolutely have to. Like to call my mother since she doesn't do computer.
Oh and I have that 99 book too. I am going to have to pull it out and join you all in that.
