Progress

Here it is Saturday and the sheet rock is all up, primed and painted. The only thing left to do is, on the left side of the dishwasher, there is so support for the corner of the counter top. What Doug is going to do is, build a 2 sided box. He said this will serve 2 purposes. One to support the corner so it does not drop like the last one did and it will also keep the heat from the dishwasher from getting to the fridge. Hmmm...Hadn't thought of that seeing as there is insulation but, it makes sense. The water gets awfully hot in there and it has to go somewhere. The insulation can't stop everything I guess. Once that's done, we can call the people out to make the template for the new one. He hopes to have this done by Sunday, seeing as he is working today.
We also have a new fridge coming some time on Monday. The one have is white and does not go with the rest of the appliances. Sears had a big sale last Saturday and I took advantage of it. We are not getting the typical fridge. Well...not typical for us anyway. The freezer is on the BOTTOM. Yep indeedy! I have seen them before but for some reason we never ventured that way. Not sure why though. My boss Steve said he grew up with one like that and he thought that was all that was out there. For him this WAS the norm. I am so excited about getting it. I also think it makes a whole lot more sense seeing as we use the fridge more often than the freezer anyway, AND it's black and will match the rest of the stuff.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We are off to a chilly start but, I think it's suppose to be nice today. I'm going to get the propane tank off the grill and get it filled today. Either today or tomorrow, I'm going to be making BBQ ribs with macaroni salad and veggies. It will be somewhat different than the TV dinners we've been eating all week. I'm not the only one that will be glad to have our kitchen back.

Until next time...
Bunny

Looking good. Our fridge has NO freezer. We didn't know they made those either until we got this one. Has worked well for us since we have a separate standup freezer.

Looking beautiful Bunny. I know that you will be so happy when it is all finished and you have your kitchen back. Remember, good things come to those who wait.

I am tagging you as well in this comment. Please see my blog for details.
