Stash Busting Weekend!

I had 2 partial skeins of Bernat Camouflage in Purple Camo. I used Bev's Baby Shirt pattern. I made it with a double strand and a K hook. It's a little larger which should be ok.

I also had 2 partial skeins of Patons Classic Wool Merino in Retro. I used a double strand and a J hook on this one. These will be nice and warm.

These shirts will be going to the VNS of NY. I know they don't want wool because it's scratchy on the baby skin. The Merino is soft and shouldn't pose a problem. It's just that with the wool it will have to be hand washed. I will send a note along with this shirt. The others were made with 100% acrylic.

Bev came out with a new pattern I want to try. Bev's Little Pea-Pod Cozy. I think it would be great with or without the hood. It is a knit pattern and I'm sure like everything else, she will come out with a crochet pattern for it.

Have a great week!

Until next time...

I am dying to make some baby things. They are next on my list of projects to start. You are really whetting my appetite with your sweet little goodies.

DARLING! I love that purple camo, I've not seen it in the stores, but it's very cool. I used Bernat Camo in Desert Sand to make a pair of mittens (just almost finished last night...need one more thumb), it is really nice soft yarn. I think actually to soft for the mitts, but bet it was fabulous in the sweater for a wee one.

Beautiful work as always...love your projects.
