My Tuesday so far...

Here it is Tuesday already! Where did yesterday go? Oh yeah! I slept. LOL
I managed to get my son to work this morning and headed straight to the post office. I mailed out the shawl to one of Millie's co-workers. Her name is Sheila. I could have mailed it out last week but, I wanted to be sure that Millie was going to be there to see it.
Here's a pic of what it looks like.

Half Granny Square shawl
for Millie's co-worker Sheila, made with Simply Soft Tweed yarn (off white). I also like how the specks in the yarn formed a V. Had not expected that. A very nice surprise. :o)

I am still not feeling a 100% but, I think I am better than yesterday. Bunny's LOVE chicken soup! I still can't breathe through my nose but, with a cold I had always heard it was 3 days coming, 3 days with it and 3 days getting over it. Seems about right I guess. Even with all the meds, it still has to run it's course. I think the meds make life just a little more doable.

While I laid on the couch yesterday morning, I love watching the Food Network. You can get some really great easy dishes from there. Anyway..I was watching Rachel Ray and her 30 Minute Meal. She had taken some appetizers and made them into entrees. Here is what I have decided to make for our noon dinner today. I am not going to make the bread salad though. Just the Ceasar's Scampi and the Spinach and Artichoke Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms. Rachel has made Spinach and Artichoke dip before but have never thought of stuffing mushrooms with it. It should make for a very interesting lunch. lol I always like to try things once. I figure..what's the worse that can happen. We don't like it and I throw away the recipe.

On the crocheting end of things. I am a bit behind. I am going to try and do some more after dinner. Maybe my concentration will be a little bit better today. At least I hope so. I found a fan stitch pattern in my 63 Easy-to-Crochet Pattern Stitches book. There is another fan trellis pattern also but I think it is too open for the squares I have already gotten done. I also found a seed stitch pattern in the book and it does call for a sc not a dc. lol I have a hard time with the single sc patterns anyway. What a nut! LOL

Well...I think I will go and start prepping some of the things I need for dinner. This way it won't take so long to make it. Sometimes prepping takes longer than actually making the darn meal. Well maybe not but it seems like it.

Until next time...

So glad you are feeling well enough today to think about food. That is a good sign. Glad that bunnies like soup. It is warm and nourishing and helps clear up a stuffy nose, vapors you know. Hugs to you. Your scarf is really nice and I wondered about that V when I saw it the last time. Thought you did something special to it. Don't you love it when that happens!

Glad to see you're feeling better. I was poking my head in to see if you've posted and was glad to see you felt well enough to do so. The shawl is beautiful! Sheila will love it.
Take care!
