An exciting day for sure!

Only yarns lovers can appreciate this bit of news. I have been waiting what seems like forever BUT! Joann's is now carrying Vanna's Choice yarn!! Many colors to choose from! I only ordered it that one time for the Lion Brand site to check it out and I loved how soft it is. I hadn't ordered it again, I figured one of the stores would be carrying it fairly soon. When Sandie mentioned that Hobby Lobby had it, (which we in DE do not have a store), it was only a matter of time and patience that Joann's or AC Moore would have it. I could have went nuts buying it all up but, I did not! LOL

I am half way through the shawl I started yesterday. I had 3 skeins left of the Jiffy Kitty Hawk yarn and needed 4 more to finish it. That was the main reason for going to Joann's in the 1st place. :o) I will post a pic of it as soon as it's finished. It will be going to Barbara Atkinson in NC for a domestic violence shelter for battered women. She is in need of 30 by Aug 20th. She has already recieved 12 with more promised. I'm sure she will make her deadline. When I get this one done, I will start another one with the Vanna's Choice yarn I got today. The V Stitch shawl works up very nice and easy. Maybe I will get a 2nd one done for her. It's only the first of the month. :o) Here's a link to the pattern I am using for the shawl. I won't be doing the fringe on it though. It is Advantix day for our pets. We started treatment the beginning of April and have not seen one tick or flea! I love this stuff! For cats and dogs. For what we dealth with last year with fleas, that will not happen again! It is also a day I had set aside to check the oil drum to see how much oil we have left. After running out, I don't want that to happen again either.

Well...I guess that's about as much excitement as any one person should have in one day, so I will quit while I'm ahead. Save some for tomorrow. Ya know? lol
