Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Steven
Happy birthday to you!
If you haven't guessed by now, today is our son Steven's birthday. He turns a mere 28 today. I hope you have a great day Steve!
Today is Monday and for most people they dread it. For people like me..I actually look forward to it. Seeing as I am off the next 3 days. Of course...this week my Monday is Thursday.
I am totally in awe of some of the Cabana anniversary pics and feel I should not have even put anything in the folder but, it is all good and all fun. The doilies are just gorgeous! It's not easy crocheting with thread. I know...I've tried it. That's why I stick with yarn. :o)
I have actually started knitting a shawl. Not sure how long it will take to complete it but I am going to give it a valiant effort anyway. I guess I could post a pic of my progress so far. Will do so in a little while. I am using Homespun yarn. I can only knit with it so it tends to sit there until I can figure out what to do with it. lol
I hope you all had a great weekend and hope it continues as you start you week.
Until next time...
Bunny
As promised, here's a pic of the knitted shawl I started with the Homespun, Tudor. I got the pattern from The Prayer Shawl Ministry book on pg 34, which I got with my 50% off from JoAnn's. Don't you just love this store? :o) It's called Knitted Wide Scarf but will be wide enough for a shawl. There are mistakes in there but hopefully I covered them up pretty good. Right now it's measuring 8" long and should be at least 60" when complete. Going to take a while? I think so!

I really like that painterly colors in the homespun yarns. Hope your not having problems with the waviness of the yarn. I guess you have gotten over that little hump. Looks good.
Oh, that is going to be gorgeous, Bunny. And knitted too! Good job.
A great big Happy Birthday to Steven! May you have many many more!
And yes, those pics are beautiful. I will have them available for everyone to see after the contest is over. Your entry is every bit as nice as anyone else's. You're a very skilled crocheter.
