Vacuum sealing in new light

I'm not sure how many people have vacuum sealers but, I have had mine for a while. It has come in very handy when buying meats, poultry or whatever in bulk and then splitting the package up before freezing. It has saved us a lot of money buying in bulk like that. Well...in this day and age of saving money, where better to save money on than in postage. People that give to charities are always looking for ways to save money. Especially postage. Enter the vacuum sealer. This is not my idea however. I do find it genius and had to pass it along. I do think the person I heard it from had a special vacuum for zip lock baggies. Using the vacuum would allow for putting more items into a smaller space. Hence, saving money. I know this is probably not new and having used mine on several occasions, I'm not sure why I did not think of it myself. I'm probably the only one that hasn't but, if I get back into charity giving, I will certainly give it a shot.

Have a wonderful Sunday! The weather is gorgeous here and will be close to 80 tomorrow and Tuesday, then back to lower 70's later in the week.

Until next time...

Bunny

Great idea, that I am sure many of us have not thought of or have forgotten about. Thanks for bringing it to light.

Way back in the day, I had a seal a meal that I used a lot. Tired of it, and had less need of it, and now would like to have it back. It was particularly helpful before microwaves were so popular.

I've seen the commercials, and wondered about them. They seemed pretty pricey last time I saw an ad.

Thanks for the info.
